Hello! I’m a lifelong New Englander and have spent the past decade appreciating the world around me as a journalist and documentarian. I started my career as a reporter at Connecticut’s NPR and PBS affiliate in 2015, and since 2019, have worked there as a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker.

I consider myself a local reporter, and try to spend as much time developing trust with the people I’m working with as I do photographing them. I’ve spent years reporting on subjects over long periods of time — including the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and Connecticut, stories about changing demographics and immigration in New England, and the impacts of climate change on Long Island Sound. My work has been recognized with a Pictures of the Year International Excellence in Documentary award, two National Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in video, several regional Emmy’s, and recognition in the National Press Photographers Association’s annual “Best of Photojournalism” competition.

I spend most of my free time talking over the fence to my neighbors, picking bugs off of vegetable plants in the backyard, and volunteering at a community bike shop in New Haven, Conn. My greatest joys come from the community I’m a part of, and the city I live in.
